Tomorrow never comes, but you know it's always there...

Had he been in my place, and I in his, though I hated him with a hatred that turned my life to gall, I never would have raised a hand against him. You may look incredulous, if you please! I never would have banished him from her society, as long as she desired his. The moment her regard ceased, I would have torn his heart out, and drank his blood! But till then - if you don’t believe me, you don’t know me - till then, I would have died by inches before I touched a single hair of his head!

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.

The Power of words.

You eat the fruit of what you say. Now what I mean by this is that words are really just bunch of letters thrown together to describe or label somethng, but they cant do that without our help!

We (‘we’ being people in general) are the ones who place labels and judgemets on everything, it’s common nature to us to do! words cannot by themselves label someone a ‘bum’ or a ‘snob’, only we do that!

When someone says something to you say for example “You’ll never be able to do that!” in regards to any personal venture, study or activity you may wish to undertake, your confidence and belief in that falters and if you hear it often enough you’ll soon give up. I really dont think that people grasp the power of words! Not truely at least!

We hear on the news about teen suicides, where they’ve left a letter explaining why, now I have no idea what the percentage is but I’m fairly sure that a large percentage of teen suicides are believed to be due constant bullying andĀ  harrassment,. I’m sure all of us has at one point snidely thought to ourselves if not said aloud ” awww poor emo kid, you’re just another sad case thats gone and offed themselves”. But do any of us ever really thnk that perhaps, they suffered so much just from what people were constantly saying to them in the sense of the derogatory, that this may have been the cause for their depression, masichistic behaivour and eventual suicide?

How many of us have ever said an unkind word/s to someone? ALL of us have at one point or another. and whether or not we witness it this has a dramatic effect on that persons future.

WE choose to label, WE choose to drag others down, WE choose to ridicule and criticise. WE are to blame, for giving words the power to do so much damage!

If you think about all the times someone has told you, that you cant do something and you didnt believe them and kept on trying and trying until you got there. Then you’re freeĀ  from others controlling you’re existence because you refuse to believe that you can’t, you believe that you can!

Tell someone every day when they start to doubt themselves that they CAN do it; to just believe! And you’ll witness amazing things! The power of words is greater than anyone could ever conceive!

Counsellors in my experience, seem to be named using the Charles Dickens method, where the character’s name gives a very obvious clue to their nature: Bill Sykes, psycho, Mr Bumble, bumbling, Fagin, an unforgivable anti-semitic stereotype.
